Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

on May 4th i was promised if i brought my truck in that it would be finished in 3-5 days

i brought my truck in on May 8th, my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 that i still owe payments on,

Henry is the mechanic; Jason is the CON-ARTIST!

i was told to pay $600.00 upfront for the motor and then the other $500 would be after pick up.

ONLY to find out THIS IS A SCAM! promise after promise, put off after put off, voicemail,  ignore, blocking numbers.

i took a day off work and actually reached Jason and i did not tell him that i was on my way to his "shop" or storage unit after my truck he was ignoring me about. I was told my truck had the new motor in it and just needed to work out the creeks and it would be ready for pick up tomorrow blah blah blah i showed up at the storage unit to find my truck sitting there with the old motor still in it.

lie after lie after lie.  now my truck had no oil pressure or anything. i told him i want the motor but i am taking my truck since its so hard to reach him and get into his storage shop. i had my truck towed from magnolia to conroe. Jason said he would have my motor ready for pick up the following day, well that day comes, no answer. imagine that. then i call again and hes having the truck that has the motors hot shot my motor and asked for an address to drop the motor off NOBODY came or could reach him. he will shoot you crap till the weekend and would not return my money because he "already bought the motor with it"  this story has happened days in a row and the hard part is nobody sees jasons face. It is all over the phone and he usually has Henry get the cash, and he is the talker giving you lie after lie until you realize its a scam then he sends you to 4 different voice mail messages where the voicemails are full or hangs up. if you reach him on a thrusday or friday hang it up he uses the whole weekend ignoring your calls!  I am 25 i am a single mother raising 2 boys alone. this was not easy to manage my household bills and get behind on my truck note and not even receive a motor for the $600 i paid him.

this is so unfair i do not know how he sleeps at night, honestly i do not understand. i have cried and cried from this stress and how somebody can be like that! i pray to God the right person reads this and assists in getting my money back. I am now having to spend $5000 on motor repairs and it will be done right but i need that money i lost back! please, if ive learned anything do your research read the reports and please do not use this guy, lies fall out of his mouth and its so crazy i honestly can not believe it! i am sick to my stomach there are such selfish money hungry heartless people in this world.

please do not use this guy. his name has changed and he has "2" locations  but is never there, his repairs are done in a gated storage lot and you cannot get in with out a code or if you happen to see someone coming out!

they keep changing thier name and location to hide, they were ASAP motors then Apollo Engines then J & S used engines now Texas Used Engines

I read your complaint and do feel you are the victim of an outright ripoff.

But there are a couple of elements missing from your story that would help me better understand what your options are. I wouldn't give up so easily if I were you.

First, did the shop give you a receipt for the deposit you placed on the engine? Did the receipt show how much you put down and what your balance would be when the job is complete? If so, you certainly have something to work with in terms of a lawsuit to recover your money. If you weren't given a receipt, things may be a little difficult but not impossible. If you paid by check or credit card, that may also be helpful in proving you paid some money for something you never received.

Secondly, was there a repair order written on the vehicle to explain what was to be done? Including a written estimate of repairs. Again, this would be very helpful to you in recovering your money. Again, I wouldn't give up if you have neither a receipt or a repair order.

You mentioned Jason never returns phone calls or speaks with you in person. A summons for a lawsuit would certainly make him show his face and respond to your complaint.
