TeleCheck Declined Checks For 60 year old 501c Non Profit Organization Greeley Colorado
I am the Treasurer for a 60 year old non profit corporation that is a registered corporation in good standing in the state of Colorado. TeleCheck declined a check that I was writing to purchase updated software. i ended up having to purchase the software with one of my own credit cards and the reinburse myself. A Treasurer reinbursing themself looks very suspicious on a non profits books as such I always try to avouid doing such.
We have over 100 members in our club and I write hundreds of checks per year and have never had a problem up to now. All of our information could easily be verified by the Secretary of States Office in Colorado or by any of the major credit agencies. It is obvious that teleCheck is to cheap or lazy to do the proper reseaerch before they have a business's checks declined.
I also own my own corporation and plan on avoiding shopping at any business that I find out contracts with this scumbag company. As the business I own is in the financial service industry I know how easy and quick it is to verify a business's information.
