I purchased a 19 inch LCD computor monitor from Micro Center in Cincinnati, OH. It included two high-value rebates, one from Micro Center and one from Proview (manufacturer).

I received emails denying both rebates - reason "Missing UPC/No Photocopies Accepted". I included the actual UPC with what I mailed them originally on the one that required it (Proview) and a photocopy for the Micro Center one (this is as instructed, there is only one UPC after all, so someone is going to get a photocopy).

I called TCA and after about a 15 minute wait, spoke to a customer service rep. I explained that they must have missed it on their end, as I sent them the original. He said that I need to send them the original - I asked him how I can, when there is only one original, and I mailed it to them a month ago. He told me there was nothing he could do, and to call Micro Center to see if they can help.

I called Micro Center today, and they are going to "beg" TCA to fulfill it without a UPC. I explained to Micro Center, that if I am their customer, and they have hired TCA to execute their rebates, then they are also a customer of TCA. So why are two customers begging a vendor in NY who screwed up to send one of the customers the money they are owed? I feel really powerless, ripped-off, and taken advantage of. It's a shame that people have abused these rebates programs over the years so now we are all "guilty" of trying to defraud until we prove our selves "worthy" of a rebate we are legally entitled to.

Ironic, that as I type this, I am using my new 19inch Proview monitor that apparently no one in NY believes I actually bought, because they didn't like the original UPC from the box that I sent them.

Save yourself the agony - see if TCA is fulfilling your next rebate, and if they are, buy a different product instead. They are not helpful. I think that their number one job, and what they are paid and incentivized for is to NOT fulfill rebates. The should be called "TCA Denial Services".
