Attn: Ms. Bonnie Gross, Vice President Target Marketing and Guest Engagement

Dear Ms. Gross,

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on March 27 2012, normally on electronic purchases you have a 90 day return policy, this is the slogan for Target.

To my surprise, a month later I realized that Samsung launched the new  Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, with new software ICS 4.0, new features and most important for the same price I paid but for a discontinued model purchased only one month prior.

I'm really disappointed with the situation, I went last Saturday May 26th to Target, located on Bird Road in Miami Fl, I was talking with Customer Service and one of the Managers named Joel said no problem you have 90 days to return, I told him I do not want a refund just and exchange for the new Samsung Tablet so he said to just return to the store with the Tablet and the receipt there would be no problem, so I did but to my surprise my receipt said, Return by: May 11 2012, they did offer to exchange for a new tablet but when I went to the Electronics Department in that Target Store I realized they are were not carrying the Samsung Tablets anymore so they offered me to give me a gift card for almost $400, I rejected it because I not a frequent shopper in Target, the customer service Rep called to Guest Relations Phone: 1-800-440-0680 and the service Rep. would not return my money. I ask to talk with him (by the way he had an accent I think he may have been from India) and he was very rude and he refused to help, it  is very easy to hide behind  a phone and be miles away. Well after 30 minutes of  talking by phone he then offered me a gift card using my Driver License, but the Customer Service Rep could not get it to work after trying numerous times then we realized it would not scan because it is no longer in stock. so by the end of the day I left with nothing but empty promises and almost a day wasted and to top it off the cashier dropped my tablet not once but twice on the counter and I then ask her to please be careful, it was in its original package but still care should be taken

I feel lied to somehow, tricked or a victim of false advertising, I understand Target isnt carrying the Samsung Brand any longer but this should not affect their customers such as myself, my new receipt will expire June 25th 2012 and I have the right to return the item.

I taking this case to the attention of The Florida General Attorney, Ms. Pam Bondi and The BBB, because cases like this have to be stopped in the state of Florida.

I'm asking that this issue be resolved ASAP,

Respectfully,

AR

Here's part of their returns policy from their website:

return policy

Most items must be returned within 90 days and must be in new and unused condition. If returning your Target.com purchase through the mail it must also contain all original packaging and accessories. Some items have a modified
return policy noted on the receipt and in the "Item details, shipping" tab for your item.
The following items must be returned within 45 days: Computer Hardware (Netbooks, eReaders, Tablets), Cameras and Camcorders. GiftCards,
prepaid cell phones, prepaid cards (including music, game and phone cards),
or other items that carry financial may have varying return polices, check your receipt, the item details or shipping page to verify the return policy. The following items are non returnable if opened and may only be exchangeable: music, movies, video games and software. Photo ID may be required for in-store returns. All bundled items must be returned with all components for a refund.

Some items cannot be returned if opened.  If you pay by PayPal and then return items to a Target store you will be refunded with a physical Target GiftCard. If you return your items to Target.com, your refund will be issued in the form of
an electronic Target GiftCard OR physical Target GiftCard.  See the full Returns & Refunds Policy as some additional restrictions may apply.

May 11th, as printed on your receipt was the 45 days...you failed to read that...NO Ripoff here...sounds like they tried to work with you.

I'd like to see the Florida AG and BBB when you state you were Ripped Off....you weren't,
