My email from Target said that I would receive a credit in the original form of payment.. I paid by credit card and received a gift card credit in return. If you use the paypal option when checking out online which I did not know your credit will only be in the form of a electronic gift card. You are being forced to shop there even if they don't have what you need. I did not buy anything with a gift card. When I called to complain the man on the phone said it in the fine print. They know that they will make more money because if you lose the number that's it no replacements. I am through with Target and I am not the only upset customer.

If you do not use cash, debit card, or credit card, corporations (big stores) do this all the time. Even sometimes, they do it even you use a debit card or credit card. It is a "WIN WIN" situation for them -- don't need to go through a hassle to refund and the money is still theirs regardless. I hate the way they do as well, but it is legal and is the loop hole. The law is not clear enough to force them to pay back the same method a customer uses to pay for their services/goods.
