You say the tires could have been easily cleaned to look new with a wet rag. Why didn't you do that before going to the store?? If you had and the bike looked unused you would have had your exchange like you wished. I don't know about you though, if I am shopping for a new bike - I prefer to buy a NEW bike.. not one that's been tested outside and returned.

This is from another of those "SPECIAL" people who store return policies should not apply to according to them. The policy is posted in the store and is similar to shoe return policies where if it is noticeable that it was used it can not be returned. You want Target to give you a free test drive of the bike and then lose the vaklue of the bike because you didn't like it. If you want this kind of service go to a specialty store where they have bikes you can try out and then purchase one. However, it will be at least twice as much for the bike when you purchase it. You want specialty treatment at a Bargain Basement price. Don't complain on this sight when no one has dione anything wrong and all you want is a "FREEBIE"
