I am sure the Target Corporation is deeply depressed by your cancellation of one Target Visa and your refusal to shop there.

The swing was bought in October and you tried to return it the end of November without a receipt. If your daughter didn't like the swing that would have been obvious within the standard return policy and you should have returned it then, not a month later without a receipt.

"According to Target, no exceptions could be made to the return policy. Period. The end." Well that answers your complaint right there. If you were long-time Target customers, you should already know their return policy. "All we were asking for is a simply item exchange from the same darn department." "All my wife wanted to do was return the defective swing and pick out another infant toy item that my daughter would enjoy better." An item exchange is not return an item for a different item, an item exchange is a return for the exact same item. What your wife was attempting to do was return the item to select a different item. For this you would need the receipt or even the gift receipt that Targets gives you with each purchase. "My wife and infant daughter drove to the store with the disassembled swing in perfect condition." Does this also include the original packaging? If not, it was not in perfect condition. If you did have the packaging, since it was in perfect condition, why was the receipt, gift receipt or copy of receipt not placed inside packaging in case a return had to be done. This would have solved everybody a ton of headaches.
