This past weekend 7/18/09, I went to Brandon mall. I wasnt there looking for a phone, although I saw a Sprint sign, and figured I would just get my boyfriends Treo reactivated on my own account as well as wanting to port in my old cell # from my Metro phone. Well, I was told by Norm Lantrip that, since I didnt have the Treo on me, if I created an account all I would have to do is take a phone home and then Sunday 7/19/09 bring it back w/ the Treo to activate and I could return the phone at no cost. That is when all the problems started.

FIRST, I was told the phone which was a pink scp-2700 by Sanyo was only $50 yet when the total came up it was $106 come to find out $50 was a mail in rebate (fine) but the sleezy part of it was the phone should've only been $19.99 (per the Sprint corporate store T-Cellular's prices should never be higher than theirs) yet I was charged a Special order charge of $30 for what the phone was pulled out of the case NOT ORDERED? Who knows I guess its pocketed money for the company?

NEXT, I was told by Norm that the activation fee of $36 would be waived by Sprint's welcome call, It wasnt waived and I was refered back to the store. So Sunday comes I CALL Norm to let him know I would be coming in to bring the phone back to get a refund and activate the Treo and Norm confirmed for me to bring the Treo in. Meanwhile its raining extremely hard I get to the kiosk and was told by Norm that since my old phone # is being ported he cant do anything so I ask him to take the phone back and disconnect the service I was told NO that ABSOLUTELY nothing can be done . He smiled and said "I guess I should have told you over the phone" and then he started to tell me if I did return the phone and cut off service I would have to pay $60 as a restock fee he also said just come back when the port goes through and he said he would credit me back the $36 activation fee if I left the service on. I left drove 5 minutes away to the Sprint Corporate store 1916 W Brandon Blvd Brandon FL and was told there should be NO restock fee for turning off service unless I was switching phones and WOW the actual Sprint store was able to turn off my service right there on the spot (while my old metro phone# was still being ported) Hmmm a little odd I think!!! Now the only thing the Sprint corporate store couldnt do was take the phone since it was purchased at T-Cellular.

FINALLY, I went back to T-cellular Monday 7/20/09 now told by Norm the restock fee is $50 the price is changing as we go, yet on the bottom of my reciept it only says subject to restock fee but not the amount. I told him "No" then went back to corporate store today Wednesday to get to the bottom of why I was being told all these lies Sprint called the T-cellular store spoke to the manager (supposively) who confirmed that the restock fee is $50. At this point I am fed up with it I returned the phone was charged guess how much for a restock fee? $35 WHY??? Why are prices being made up as they go thats illegal (false advertising) I promise I hope that kiosk goes under and I would extremely love to be part of a class action suit against T-Cellular for scaming victims w/ add-ons to the price and all the lies just to get a sale. Well.. forget about the sale I disconnected my service and will let everyone know I was ripped off!!!!!

I'VE BEEN...

OVERCHARGED FOR THE PHONE!,

LIED TO!, INCONVENIENCED!,

AND HAD TO PAY MONEY TO T-CELLULAR THAT SPRINT WOULD HAVE NEVER CHARGED!

WHY IS T-CELLULAR UNDER THE SPRINT NAME????

Whyme?
