Truly a horrible customer experience with Rooms to Go. I called myself closing out my account, by making a payment, only to later learn that Synchrony Bank had already made that decision weeks before I did. I made payments to them EVERY MONTH. But that clearly was not taken into consideration.

If you do not pay a late fee for one payment, THEY WILL ADD A LATE FEE UPON THAT LATE FEE. So, they just decided WITHOUT INFORMING THE CUSTOMER, that their imposed late fees were to high for me and decided to close the account. They mailed out not one letter, nor sent one phone call regarding a decision of this magnitude.

I highly recommend any credit-concerned buyer to avoid business with Rooms to Go as long as their credit cards are affiliated with Synchrony Bank.

 But that's just it. I was not receiving monthly statements from them. Originally, I received a monthly statement in the mail, but for some odd reason, the statements stopped coming. No address changes, no phone number changes. None. They were initially good with the statements, but then they just stopped.

I still knew when to call in and make a payment, though. And I already paid out the account, btw. My concern here is the lack of professionalism and customer support I received from this company. I highly advise future customers to seek greener pastures.

- That was very likely taken into consideration.  As it kept you from being sent to Collections sooner. Making a payment every month doesn't really matter, if that payment is late. Oh and by the way even if your account was closed by them or yourself, you still owe the balance of the account and are still subject to the same terms.

- They are not unique, EVERY other credit card would do the exact same thing.

- No. They decided to close your account because your unsatisfactory payment history with them due to your failure to make at least the minimum payments ON-TIME.

They mailed out not one letter, nor sent one phone call regarding a decision of this magnitude.

- Well nothing other than the monthly statement they are required to send you either by mail or electronically EVERY MONTH per Federal Law. Where if you read that statement you would see you are making your payments late, and are being charged late fees that are part of the REQUIRED minimum payment. By the way if you read other reports who claim that this bank "harrasses" people who are only a little late and some claim that they get "harassed" before their payment date, it would be unlikely that they did not try to contact you at all.

I highly recommend any credit-concerned buyer to avoid business with Rooms to Go as long as their credit cards are affiliated with Synchrony Bank.

- Or better yet just review your statements every month and make sure you make the payments on-time. By the way this is the exact same thing I would suggest for ANY credit card.
