Complaint Review: susan harrie - Rochester hills Michigan

Sellers beware of scammers traveling and meeting you in person to buy pets. Last week I posted an ad for my kitten that I had kept out of my litter for showing but due to unfortunate circumstances she had her tail caught in a door and it was so mangled it had to have 1/2 inch taken off the tip :-( this broke my heart as I had picked her from birth. I do not want to be overwhelmed with too many cats but want one for showing so I decided to sell my baby. I was asking $1700 as a pet a lady 2 days later contacted me concerning her and said she asked for breeding rights telling me she used to breed and lost everything before do to breast cancer then her husband just died and she so needed a kitten and wanted one breeding female just to have that wonderful feeling of the babies again.

She also told me she lives in Michigan but was in Florida do to her daughter being hospitalized but would be heading back up north the following week. So me living in South Carolina was right in the same path she would be going where she would then stop in North Carolina at her sisters house and then again in Tennessee at her brothers house before her finial trip to Michigan. She was to pay $2000 for my baby with breeding rights with $200 being sent via paypal. She took a few days to make her mind up and we even video chated via Skype for over an hour one night so she could see parents and baby. She then sent the deposit of $200 which I transferred to my bank no problem.

She even sent a Facebook friend request so we could keep in touch and I could still watch my baby grow up. She then said she would be paying the remaining balance of $1800 via paypal as well because she doesn't keep large amounts of money on her and her bank was in Michigan. I felt very leery of this because I have always gotten cash when meeting people in person. She reassured me thatvher paypal pays instantly (which it did for the deposit) and so reluctantly I agreed. I was to drive an hour to meet her off the highway she was on and meet at a Mc Donalds. Before we met I asked her if she could get some cash out of an ATM due to paypal taking a few days to deposit and she said she had no cash on hand which I replied anyone can get money out of any ATM which she replied both with she didn't know how and it costs money to get it out.

I felt very uneasy but went on with the transaction because she seemed like a nice lady and like she cared for animals alot which made me feel comfortable about selling my baby. We had been texting, IM via Facebook, and emailing every day for a week now and I guess I let my guard up. So we met and I had actually brought a Square credit/debit card reader that I had gotten incase people needed to pay with a credit card because I felt it may be safer then the paypal but just my luck my phones service was too slow where we were at and she had to pay via paypal instead which I just felt like something was not right. I pushed to transfer the money to my bank account immediately and got the confirmation from paypal that the money was being transferred which like I said takes 2-4 days.

I felt safer after getting the conformation and relaxed. She contacted me at 315pm to tell me the kitten had hot its scab or bit it and made the scab come off causing it to bleed. I then informed her it would stop bleeding if she put a Styrofoam cup on her head so she couldn't bite it anymore. She said she would and that was that. However, a few hours later 430pm I received an email staing that paypal was stopping the bank transfer due to Susan Harrie calling PayPal saying someone broke into her paypal account and stole the money both the $200 deposit and $1800 so paypal was doing an investigation. My heart dropped to my stomach and stopped beating for a second $2000 really?

OMG I just got scammed was all I could think. I immediately called paypal who told me that she had called only a short time after us meeting. I was shell shocked to say the least and felt so betrayed. I kinda trusted her and she had succeeded in making me feel more comfortable with selling my baby. Thank goodness my boyfriend went with his gut and wrote down her tag # as well as took some pics of us together in the parking lot beside her car with her holding the kitten. I gave paypal the tag # and info I had to proove she was there and could not lie. They still said it would take 7-10 days to review everything and said souded like fraud and that I needed to contact the police.

 I made a report within 1hr of the email from paypal and had also noticed she had already blocked me from Facebook so I couldn't IM her so I started texting her trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I told her she needed to fix paypal or I was going to have thr police pick her up at her sisters in Raleigh NC. Her last IM showed her location and I gave her the exact location where she was, as well as tag # and told her of the pictures and such as well as I had been in contact with the Mc Donalds we met at to get copies of the footage of the exchange. I reminded her it was fraud as well as grand larceny that carried heavy sentences behind them.

I also told her I would hold no grudge and would still send her papers as planned. However she wouldn't reply until finally making up a story that her sister had gotten in a wreck right before she got there. Okay... so she said she would call when she got back from the hospital which ended up being not even 5 mins later but at almost midnight! She then asked me to drive 5 hours and go get the cat!! Seriously. .. I work night shif and recently been working from 4pm til 6am not to mention have 2 kids in school. Theres no way. I told her the cat is fine and I don't sell to children so you made your decision to buy the cat. If you didn't have the funds to spend then you shouldn't have bought her.

Then everything is boohoo she mentioned her husband just died, had to put daughter in hospital now sister in wreck oh then all the sudden she said shes lost 5 people this year and has breast cancer and so on. Okay so when scmmers tell a story its they are a minister or hubby's a preacher or hubby died and some boohoo story sound familiar? ? I even said I didn't have to give her back anything knowing the kitten left my arms in good condition but still ofgered to give her $200 back since she said the cat was bleeding. I told her to put a Styrofoam cup on her head so she could not bite at it anymore which her reply was she wasn't going out at that time of night ro get it even though I had text her way earlier to getvthe cups again she made the adult decision to not do as I had said and to not protect her.

I then texted her after we gotboffbthe phone so there would be proof of what was said. I texted so you are fixing the paypal by 9am and I will deposit the money in my account and will resend you 200 once it clears in my account. If not done byb9am I am leaving for the florence police station with the Mc Donalds video and push to the fullest extent of the law. She agreed. So next morning I get up called paypal asked about it and was told she still never called. I texted her immediately and she said she had tried to call 7 times and they refused to take the hold off. I then called paypal again and they informed me thatahe had not yet called and the second she would call and say to take the hold off it would be deposited back into my account within seconds.

Paypal then said they could do 3 way with her so I texted her 3 times while waiting on the phone with paypal but me mentioning 3 way just made her not respond. I then got off the phone with paypal and texted her after calling Florence police and informed her I was heading to the police department she then finally said she was calling PayPal and that the money would be in my account within a few mins. By this time it was nearly 1130! 3 hours of kicking dirt around to get jer to be honest yet again. I then told her once more to get a cup and put it on her head to make a homemade E collar which the vet had told me to use. She has since then nagged over the $200 which I replied to that she broke her end of the deal by still lying about calling PayPal 7 times and had not fixed it by 9am as agreed upon.

So for the kitten to be in such bad shape she waited a week to take her to the vet which was 148 for minor repair and antibiotics which all vets do as a precaution. She had sent pictures the whole time that showed my baby looking soo horribly thin from her not properly caring for her and still will not put a cup on head to prevent her from continuously biting on it. She says the kitten was in this condition when she bought it but I know everyone reading this has a brain and knows if the kitten would have been skinny, malnourished, as in.her pictures or bleeding at all when she picked her up or Skyped with us she would not have bought this kitten especially for $2000 we all know that.

The kitten was in good health not bleeding, sickly, or anything. We were in no hurry as we were so nervous that she was a scammer. She has since put stuff on rip off report as well as here so I told her take it off or put the whole story about what you did or you get no TICA papers. Im not going to sit around and let her bad mouth my cattery or my name and thwn give her papers nor any money back. She scammed the wrong person and I am still planning on having her arrested for degrading my business, attempt to fraud, harassment and anything else I can. I have received unbelievable amount of degrading texts to me and about me even immature ones about my looks really how old are you?

 Then she has the nerve to say she is pressing charges for interstate stalking because I knew feom her last IM on facebook where she was and threatened her with sending the police right to her and for bullying seriously bullying? Who even calls it thats anymore and like I told her if me threatening to press charges against her scamming tail is bullying then call me guilty. I have received texts even after 1am this morning 1-27-12 she is one CRAZY I mean CRAZY lady. Who got beatvatvher own game. I hate scammers and put in my ads scammers need not apply because I will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law. So scammers beware us hard working people will not take yours scamming lazy tails anymore. Get a job you lazy people. I hate a thief and I hate a liar and this SUSAN HARRIE is both look her up on rip off report she has scammed people before. Dont let her do it to you as well.
