Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I'm calling BS on their claims of "world class customer service".  When three voicemail messages to customer service, two of those to their customer service manager, fails to generate a response, and an email to the CEO yields the same, I'm calling shenanigans.  The rediculous part of the ordeal is that I was a regular customer, and I merely wanted to buy another product.   Let me share with others what I've learned.

The definition of value is, "the cost of an item in terms of something else".  Whether it be features or performance, value is determined by calculating (how much performance, for how much money.). You see, history is ripe with example of amazing products that simply cost too much to justify the expenditure.  For instance, Surefire's marketing department likes to make unsupportable claims and suggestions, yet if you purchase their product, you'll have bought a flashlight nearly indistinguishable from say.......Solarforce, Fenix, Inova, or any one of a dozen lower priced products.

These other companies manufacture their products from the same 6160 aluminum alloy as Surefire, they just don't try and spoon feed you the claims of their product being made from "aircraft grade aluminum alloy".  For those who don't know, 6160 is so common, it's used in many products cheap and expensive, it should not make the product expensive.  Next, Surefire boasts about "regulated" illumination, which is a fancy term to mean their product has a resistor to limit consumption, a nice feature, not limited to their brand, and certainly not significant enough to justify the premium price and hoopla.

Lastly, Surefire loves to romanticize the concept that their product saves lives.   Perhaps this image, created from their imagination, is what encourages them to establish pricing, but I challenge them to give me only one example, confirmable example, of when their product actually saved someone's life, where same individual would have died using a competitor's product.  Don't get me wrong, Surefire makes a good product, just not worth what they charge, and their customer service claims are lies.
