SuperShuttle failed us miserably. We pre-paid and pre-reserved our shuttle transportation from our home to National Airport in Washington, DC. We made the reservation further in advance than the 24 hours requested by SuperShuttle. We were due to be picked up between 3:25 and 3:40. No one showed up. When I called the rude customer service representative (after being on hold, frantically wondering if I was going to miss my flight), I was told that our shuttle would not be coming due to weather. IT WAS NOT even raining!!!

I was told they ordered a local taxi for us that would be coming, and that we would have to pay the taxi and submit the receipt to SuperShuttle to be reimbursed. (Mind you, I PRE-PAID SuperShuttle, so I had to pay for transportation to the airport a second time. I needed that money for my trip!!!) I called the local taxi company to verify that one was coming for us, and I was told SuperShuttle had NOT contacted them to request a taxi for us (there's only one taxi company in town). If I had not called to double check we never would have been picked up!

I won't know for another week whether they will really reimburse my taxi fare like they say they will or not. Whether they do or not I will never use SuperShuttle again. There is nothing "super" about them. Horrible customer service, rude employees, and dishonest excuses.

It has been 6 weeks now and still no refund. I paid twice for my transportation to the airport, once to SuperShuttle for the service I did not receive and again when I hired the local taxi SuperShuttle told me to take and they would reimburse the cost of. They are keeping my money having provided nothing. This is total fraud. I tried contacting them but they do not respond. They have made no contact and sent no refund or money whatsoever. I did follow their instructions to the letter for getting my taxi fare refunded. I finally sent them a threatening email that if they did not respond by today I am contacting the Virginia Office of Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau. I am sending my complaint to the Office of Consumer Affairs first, since they have the legal authority to do something about the fraud SuperShuttle engages in. I looked at the BBB file on SuperShuttle, Arlington and they are averaging 2 complaints EVERY MONTH and many of them SuperShuttle does not even respond to BBB! I hope the state will take legal action.
