Hey, I have a suggestion, how about they just blow up sunmount or....better yet, I think there should be a little undercover test done. All we need is one person with some nasty STD, like Crabs for instance, to sleep with one other person up there and see how fast the fury spreads. I bet, in about a week, about 50 percent of the CIT units have crabs. I swear, working around murders and rapists and otherwise violent "mentally retarded" individuals really makes these Sunmount employees horny, cause boy do they like to have sex with each other.

I think their should be manditory drug testing at Sunmount, but then you would lose 3/4 of your employees. The state is paying people and they're buying drugs and selling them to your children.

After reading some of the posts on Tupper Lake, this place reminds me of the PS2 (for those in Tupper Lake, that's a PlayStation 2) game Silent Hill II, before it went desolate. Keep up the dysfunctional lives, folks. This is better than Hollywood!

I was a Sunmount employee for years, and really find it to be of no surprise that things haven't changed. I can so sympathize with anyone that claims to have been targeted and forced out of their job. There is no consideration for the person, only for the numbers they fulfill. There is no place anywhere near Tupper Lake that pays as well or offers decent benefits it's the only place to make a decent living. The ones on the carpet know this and use this to their advantage every day. I liked to think of myself as a success story that I left and never went back, managed to make a decent living in a far away part of the state. To tell the truth, Sunmount and Tupper Lake are not something you can ever really forget or be rid of. I found this site quite by accident. A lot of the things I wanted to forget and get past came back just from reading some of the posts. Unless you're in it you can never understand it but I have nothing to gain by speaking my mind just as the rest here do. I am thankful I never went back, I am scared to ever go back. I have no intention of ever setting foot in that horrid back woods town nor in the corrupt abusive facility called Sunmount. The damage that town and job have done to my life is beyond belief. I hope the best for anyone left there, miss both some staff members and residents from Sunmount. It's like a cult and it takes a lot of support and strength and sometimes it takes threats and intimidation but you can have a good life without Sunmount or Tupper Lake in it.

I was once an employee of sunmount i wont say when because it will cause grief for other family members still working there. I enjoyed my job as i worked in one of the homes (IRA) not sunmount itself, I loved the clients and miss working with them NOT the staff. I had to quit due to health problems that sunmount knew about before i was hired and when they became a problem i was put out on leave with pay until my time ran out then tried to do the family medical leave but low and behold my paperwork was not "completed" even though when i turned it in I asked director of house if ques left unanswered were needed and was told no. Union sucks big time just got the runaround through them, ie: unreturned calls, indirect answers. I later found out that union rep was VERY good friend of director of my house,,,, go figure. finally resigned when i received a letter stating that it was going to be considered that i quit if they didnt hear from me within so many days. this way it looked better for me on future jobs so it didnt look like i just abandoned my job. directors tend to show favoritism to staff that are RELATED to them that work there. funny thing is i was a good employee i worked there for two years and never had one med error or bad report so in my opinion they lost a good employee.

What Jim said is true however what Jim forgets is that Sunmount does a shoddy job in it's investigations. Polygraph test my rear. State Police wouldn't waste their time on such a small deal. Remember Alan Bailey Jim. It took Sunmount 2 years to get him after he admitted to having his hands down his step daughter's pants. He also resigned instead of being fired. As far as Jim being a pervert I don't think a pervert is the correct term. I think for a person who is in his upper 20's-lower 30-'s who is hanging around 14-15 year old girls buying smokes and beer is a child molester want- to -be. Jim did take photos of clients at Sunmount and was testified against by 3 of the clients themselves. remember theese are the clients that "don't lie". Trust me, jim isn't that smart. Who would give up a $35m a year job for $4m. Jim will continue to post his bull here but will someday find himself on the recieving end of a free ride to jail.

J, I was first accused of sexual contact, but cleared by B.C.I after I agreed to polygraph test, and D.N.A. testing. Second they tried to say I took immoral photographs of consumers, which I did not, I did take pictures of consumers for them but just doing chores. I surrendered my computer, camera, and pics to Sunmount and they came up with nothing, the only thing they had me on was not documenting certain incidents. Also, after 3 years of working there they suddenly lost my initial fingerprints. So Sunmount requested me to get fingerprints again, on October 20th, 2004. Well hard to believe they find discrepancy in my application. I will collect unemployment from those f'in tards, one way or another. Watch for future posts!

What was the charge that you were accused of? Like I said, there had to be a reason that you were fired (or in your mind, resigned). What did you do? Are you trying to say that they made up everything and you didn't do anything? If so, I would have a hard time beleiving it. They don't just fire someone for no reason. How did you challenge the higher ups? By letting them walk all over you and making up a bunch of crazy excuses? All I'm asking for are details. I know you have a history of strange behavior and I'm just wondering what the details are. I know your coworkers weren't to fond of you. In all past posts about this topic, you never state any facts; just denials, accusations and excuses. I want to hear, from you, what you did to get fired from Sunmount. All I know is what I heard. What was the actual charge? If the police investigated it, there must have been some kind of incident and I think you are trying to hide it from all of us.

J, Tupper Lake, I just want to make clear that I was not fired, but resigned my position because I knew I would be labeled in the work force and eventually they would get rid of me one way or another. Besides, they offered me a settlement to resign, $4,000.00 dollars. Well, obviously I had a good case but I knew I was toast because I challenged the higher ups. Even if I were to win arbitration, my life would be hell in Sunmount. I never did anything immoral or illegal and I have proof. I was NEVER charged with any crime dealing with Sunmount nor the consumers. Yes, I was interrogated but charges were unfounded and NO charges were filed. I am now labled a pervert by the local kids here. You see in a small town, people like to talk s**t and don't care who it affects. Hey, I hit rock bottom, so I have nothing to lose! I will be last one to laugh!

Jim you were fired for a reason. Why don't you tell everyone what that reason is? I know you talked about being fired in past posts. You were in an argument with someone else (i can't remember what the name was) and never told what the reason was for your dismissal. Also why were you in trouble with the police. You never revealed that either. You keep claiming that you are not a pervert or child molester. Why are you so defensive on that issue? I don't recall anyone accusing you of being a pervert. Seems kind of strange that you, all of a suddenly, start spouting off about not being a pervert when noone even accused you of it in the first place. Please fill us in on the details that you left out. You don't just get fired for nothing. You had to do something.

To all who read this rebuttal please be aware that everything in this post is absolutely true and that if you are not liked by those in power or you make waves you will be ousted. I have seen people that have worked there for 23 years and they were fired, I have seen the chief of security fired after 40 years of service, and I have seen a grade 22, psychologist fired just short of his year probation. Sunmount is a soap opera in it self. I am just warning people to watch your backs while working there as you will get stabbed in the back. I now know who were my friends and who are my enemies and I will also tell you NOT to trust the union(CSEA-local431) as they are not on the workers side but actually on Sunmounts side. I am looking into a suit right now as I have consulted with a lawyer. Shane Barber, Clay Suavie, Clara Lanthier and Derrick Bell all have ties with Sunmount, now how can they be impartial when they are friends with the people in personnel in Sunmount???. I will not drop, this as I am pissed I was railroaded. Time will tell!
