Problem - I requested that she check into the possibility of me trading in a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer on another car. I was advised that as I was upside down I would have to come up with a very large downpayment. The amount talked about was $14-14,500 I would be allowed. As the payoff is aproxx. $19,600 I selected not to and purchased anyway.
Four days later the salesperson son (also salesperson) advised that they took in a car like mine except its wasn't four wheel drive and allowed that owner $18,000 and sold it for over $20,000 as I spoke with the new buyer two days after that.
I advised Coleen that this really poor business as I had purchased over five cars from her and the dealership. In speaking with some of the garage workers, they dont' purchase their cars there because they are taken advantaged of.
If you want honest and fair dealings with this dealer, it isn't possible. Based on my experience, they lie when dealing with some of the public.
