I purchased a new subaru outback LL bean with the 3.0 engine in 2005 This car has had over 30 major problems and has not worked for over a year. This car averages less than 12 mpg. the winshield cracked when a rear tire was changed the skylignt leaks as does the rear hatch.

subaru has refused to repair the car saying " to much is wrong with this car" the last repair ticket has 30 items listed on it. the compass rearview mirror was never wired from the factory. Subaru has refused to repair the car. subaru even refused to honor the federal recall on the car.

I have taken the car to two dealers, tom wood subaru and busam subaru, and both refused to honor the warranty. I was told that subaru would not authorize repairs. The subaru outback I purchased is a shameful and disgraceful piece of junk.

I have written 30+ letters to subaru and never received a response. I have sent them a lemon law notice...no response. The selling dealer claims to be

exempt from financial responsibility under indiana law. apparently they are.

when I call the 800 number for subaru they refuse to talk to me and say I must address my concerns in writing only.

At 35855 miles and months at subaru repair...I no longer have a car....subaru will not honor the warranty and the car is not road worthy and aparently subaru will not return it. I regret having ever purchased a subaru and I would warn anyone thinking about a subaru to think again. The car I purchased, new, is a disgusting sham as is the subaru warranty.

It is hilarious to me how Tech1 in consumer comment 2 assumes the original complaint comes from a woman despite the fact that it's clearly signed 'Gary'.  Nice.

This Is what Technicians call a loose nut benind the wheel. She probably damaged or it had signs of out side influence. Like I had, a customer was upset that we did not cover their radio after their son put dimes in it. They said we scammed them. I do know this is old but 30 Items I doubt it.

How in the world does a windshield crach when a REAR tire is changed? SOMETHING had to cause the windshield to crack. Anyway, IF the vehicle has had as many problems as you say, have you filed under any "lemon" laws? You usually have to do the appropriate filings. Then through arbitration. Have you taken any of those steps? What was their reasoning for refusing to do warranty work? It's also interesting that the refused to do the federal recall. If they refused a "federal recall" (national recall) wouldn't that make it a federal case? Why is he claiming to be exempt? It may be time to contact an attorney.
