Strayer University Online Deceptive Accounting, Dishonesty and Financial Aid fraud Arlington Virginia
While attempting to register for the fall session of classes I was informed that I would be receiving a refund. The refund was to be processed on 9/20/08 and mailed to me on the following day. I waited 14 days and I not received the check. When I called Strayer University back I was told that the check had been canceled. I was told there had been a glitch in the system.
This did not sit well with me because I have worked with computers for several years; I needed to know specifically what happened. I continued to get the run around. Even when I talked to the person who was supposed to me my Financial Aid Representative I would get false information.
Finally, I was able to speak with someone at another location and I was able to obtain the student ledger. Upon viewing the ledger I could see where the school has over charged me and there were entries of cash listed as being refunded to me that I never received. I then sent an email requesting photocopies of all the checks that were cashed.
