Complaint Review: Storesonline - Orem Utah

I attended a seminar in Nova Scotia, Canada yesterday. It was after the initial evening one. We were told there would be a day long $3000.00 value seminar on pure marketing techniques for a mere $30.00 so we attended. The seminar was nothing other than an attempt to sell their services with not much offered apart from bleeding heart stories. One of the speakers actually started off saying that he was brought up dirt poor, and towards the end of the session, his father worked for IBM, made a fortune and dropped dead 1/2 year before his early retirement kicked in.

Then he added how his baby born 3 months earlier was born with serious heart condition and because of his on line business he was able to be at the hospital 24/7. Pictures of his children kept popping up on the screen "accidently" I build decent web sites for a good price, so I was able to detect the mounds of horse manure they were pumping. I so desired to scream "run" to people who I knew were going to go for this venture and my heart was breaking. We went there specifically to see their marketing tools. As they tried to force the package down our throats, I told the sales lady (and of course she was beautiful) that I wanted details on the marketing tools. She tells me the details are on the 4 hour long DVD that comes with the package.

I tell her I want to know the info FIRST. I don't need the sites. I don't need the expensive hosting, I want the marketing tools to be able to help myself and my clients. I also tell her I want a week to decide. She tells me that the offer is only available today, and then she tries to sell it to my husband!! She is literally trying to pin us against each other. So I finally told her that since I didn't need the sites, that the 90 day offer would cost the same, I didn't need all the extras from the 1 day offer, and I would investigate and get back to them. She then accusing me, saying I will not do what I say, or will go to a competitor.

I tell her she has no right judging me based on what other people do. I know myself. She starts to walk away to help someone else while I am in the MIDDLE of speaking to her. Later on, as I am getting my free computer bag, she is called to help someone, and thinks we changed our minds and comes to us with a huge smile on her face, after she was previously yelling at me? I wanted to slap her. Oh, I forgot to tell you how she told me how she has made oodles and oodles of money with her web site which has allowed to to buy stocks, and property etc., etc... and I look at her and bit my tongue before I said, yes, and did I tell you that I have a *enis. Well, being true to myself, I did investigate them today. My heart is breaking for all the people who signed up yesterday and I wish I had the nerve to get up in the front of the room and scream for people not to buy into this garbage.

If anyone is looking for e-commerce, I develop good sites, good prices, easy web based method of making changes for you to do yourself, but I can't promise you a rose garden or a million dollars. I can only offer a fair service. Peace, Judy Fall River, Nova Scotia
