These people are unbelievable! I ordered carpet that was supposed to take less than a week to be delivered. Every time I called the store, my salesman was conveniently "not there" and never returned any of my calls!!

When I did get to speak to someone, no one could tell me anything. Then 4 weeks later (after 2 non existent deliveries that were promised)I received a bill for this carpet that I hadnt even seen yet!

The salesman said that it would be taken off my account immediately and shouldnt have been billed. The delivery day came, and I received a call from the delivery guy that he had "been hunting the day before, and had a deer in the truck, so he couldnt make the delivery!!" Keep in mind my house has been tore apart for 2 weeks waiting for this carpet - over the Thanksgiving holiday, I might add... The manager I spoke with seemed quite unconcerned that I was upset, and at that point I cancelled my order. I might also add that Stone Mountains website offers no corporate address, phone, fax or email address - I wonder why? The only people I can contact are the jerks who did this to me in the first place!

To top it all off, the account is still showing the entire balance for this carpet!!! I work in customer service, and I tell you if I treated my customers with the disrespect and total lack of concern that Stone Mountain has shown me, we would be out of business. I hope they are soon. BOYCOTT THIS PLACE!!!!

I am a sales rep for Stone Mountain Carpet Mills Outlet. I have to tell you that I was appalled by the comments I read by this customer. This is in no way the company I work for! The local owner is a man of integrity and forthrightness. If we were to misrepresent ourselves, the product, or the company, we would find ourselves out in the street in a New York minute. Customer service is number one with us, and we ALWAYS put the customer's needs before the sale. This is both reqired and monitored, both at the local and corporate levels. To be honest, I have to question the validity of this individuals comments. What delivery man would call a customer to say that he couldn't deliver ther product because he had a deer in the van?!?! Doesn't it seem logical that the wharehouse would know that their truck was being used as a meat locker? How long can a dead animal stay in a vehicle before it goes bad? Wouldn't the delivery man be able to come up with a better story than that? If this particular store had no honor, as the writer suggests, they would then have no adversion to lying, so any lie would have been better than that story. However, let's assume that the customer is telling it exactly like it happened. If so, then that store location in Erie, PA is atypical to any other Stone Mountain Carpet Outlet that I have had contact with. If his comments are correct, THAT store SHOULD be not only boycotted, but closed. Don't dismiss Stone Mountain Carpet Outlet. Dismiss either the local store or the writer. One of them lacks integrity. Neither of them represents me or my company.
