Me and my wife baught a New Nissan altima GXE 2001 from STAR NISSAN of Bayside, NY, we were suppose to finance $16520 at 3.9% APR, when we were taken to finance manager for completing document formalities, he asked us if we would like have low Jack installed at $ 1399 ( we did not know that actual price at other places were very low.) we agreed.

Then he said our monthly payment would be $373 and asked if we would like have extended service warranty for six years/75000 mile for addtional $2/month added to my monthly payment. Because $2 was not much differece we agreed to it and signed the papers. after coming home and counting all the money we figured that we have paid $3896 for Low Jack + extened warranty.

So we complined to the Star Nissan that you were telling that service contract was only $2 extra /month why our amount boroughed has gone so high and we are not satisfied with your billing, because you have not provide me with details of charges on my invoice. So finance manager offered me that I can give CD changer and four years of oil change or alloy wheels for your car. So we got the alloy wheels, on 3//17/2001 we received service contarct from NISSAN, the conditons of which are to strict for customer to follow, are not clear what is covered under service contract ant what is not.

We wanted to cancel the contarct. But Star Nissan has put only $432 for service contract so if we cancel the contarct we get only $432 inspite of paying $2499.

When star Nissan was asked they said all the money of extened warranty are added to the basic car price so it can not be refunded. Thus Star Nissan not only cheated us by providing wrong information about money charged for extended warranty, adding money charged for waranty to car price and not refunding full amount charged for extened service contract and also not providing breakdown of various charges on customer invoice inspite of repeated request.

I bought a vehicle from Star Nissan, and I was given a fair deal along with honest information. It appears the complaintants did not read the finance contract or do the math calculations to figure how financing an item with interest over x amount of years would cost!! That is the fault of the buyer. Did they think the items they wanted added to the original price of the vehicle were free? They could have paid for the extras up
front!!! They are blaming others for their mistake
