This is my LAST run-in with these folks. Ever since E-loan turned my account over to these mongrels about 3 years ago, I've had nothing but grief. About a year ago, these folks called me 10 times a day NONSTOP even after I told them that I had no idea what they were talking about ... they accused me of not making my payments on time when it was THEM who didn't take the payment out on the day they usually do because it was on a WEEKEND, and they can't be bothered to debit accounts on the days they say they are due (my payment comes out automatically on the 15th of every month, but this particular month the 15th fell on a Sunday.) GOOD TIMES for them! They charged me $50 due to this "late payment" and then allowed the interest to compound for over 18 months before they EVER called me. By that time, they alleged I owed them over $500 in interest and late fees resulting from this one (and subsequent) "late" payment. Then, as if that wasn't enough, they sent a certified letter on December 23, 2007 stating that if I didn't pay the amount in full (the ENTIRE remaining balance on my vehicle) that they would repossess the car within 24 hours ... on Christmas Eve!! When I called to ask them what all of this was about, they alleged that I owed them half a payment's worth of finance fees that were not being taken out of my account. WHAT??? Needless to say, that was taken care of. Now again, TODAY, they sent some burly repo man who stalked my family and I in the bushes until we came home and demanded the keys and the car. We have NOT to this date, received ANY notice from SST or ANY PHONE CALL or ANY E-MAIL requesting payment or notifying us that we were "behind" by their standards. I can show anyone bank statements to prove that they've been taking the money out of my bank account ... but are they even crediting it to my balance? WHO KNOWS?? Their website is down every time I try to log on to see exactly what it is NOW that they want from me. I have had it with these people. I am reporting them to every authority in the Nation, to include my Congressman. This Nation is in a state of economic decline because of companies like this and because we, as a Nation are allowing this to happen to hard working individuals like myself. I implore all of you to do something about it if this company or its affiliates are doing the same thing to you and your family. It's the only way we'll wipe them off the map. Thank God for the Ripoff Report!!
