Really all because in December they did not answer the phone and I was hung up on a few times. Poor customer service as far as I am concerned. I ended up with this by meeting people for Silverleaf Resorts at a Camping Show in Chicago last year. Well this year I am going to park myself by that booth for a while and let people know that this is a huge scam! And to let the sales people know that too.
We went to a camping show in Chicago last year and that is how I managed to get roped into this deal. It was through seeing a resort called Silverlear Resorts. Once we completed the tour and declined the timeshare option we chose the two night option for a water park for $100.00 package. Sounded great! Well that was because it was too good to be true.
I tried calling Spirit in December and they did not answer or hung up on me. So I just decided to wait until after all of the holiday festivites were over. I called back today, January 14, 2014. The representative I received on the phone stated that the 60 pre-reservation period was up so there was nothing they could do for me as far as reservations. I said well I tried to call in December and told her my problems and she did not acknowledge that.
So after a few more minutes on the phone I found out that we are able to get our $100 deposit back. So I said I would take it. But you can bet that at the next camping show in February I will let other people know about the problem I had so they do not make the same mistake!
