I purchased $200 in gift certificates at SpaFinder.com on 11/15/07 which I intended on using as a get well gift for my mother. There were several choices for delivery, one which was standard USPS shipping at no additional cost which I ended up using. As of today, 12/13/07, I still haven't recieved the gift certificates.

On 12/5/07, I called and emailed the company making them aware that I haven't recieved my gift certificates at which time I was informed to wait a full 30 days before they could do anything. On 12/11/07, 9:15 a.m., I reached out again to see if there was any updates as I was getting closer to the 30 day mark and was told again to give it the full 30 days.

Yesterday, 12/12/07, I spoke to another representative who now told me that they are not responsible for the gift certificates not showing up and that basically there is nothing they can do to replace the gift certificates as they are the same as cash and untrackable. Therefore, I left a vm for the immediate supervisor at the call center in Minnesota asking that something be done to cancel the original gift certificates and send new ones out to me right away as the company had charged my AMEX rewards card $200 back on 11/15 and I still have no gift certificates.

Later that evening, I received a vm on my home phone repeating the same thing as the representative above had stated, that SpaFinder is not responsible for the lost gift certificates and because I used USPS they cannot track the certificates and basically I'm out of luck and will recieve no gift certificates.

Today, 12/13/07, I contacted the corporate office and spoke to a customer service rep who then directed me to the Department Head of the corporate office to see if an exception could me made and my certificates replaced. The Department Head said again it was against their policy and that she would not cancel the original gift certificates, nor credit back the $200 to my account and that basically there is nothing she could do.

In addition, I recieved a live call back from the supervisor at the call center in Minnesota who had left a vm the evening before, again repeating that it is not their policy to cancel the original gift certificates out and replace them with the new ones because I used USPS as my delivery they are not trackable and therefore they won't do anything but keep my money.
