I bought a Sony computer in December 1999 that offered a $250 rebate. Sony issued the check on 01/20/2000, but it never arrived. The check, now over 90 days old, is void even if I did receive it. Sony states "we cannot reissue a check unless we receive back the check sent to you earlier." Obviously, if they haven't got the check back in over four months they are not likely to ever get it back. They will not reissue the check. The only way to contact them is via e-mail. I asked for contact information and they responded: "we provide only e-mail support and are unable to provide you any contact information." It makes one wonder with all the rebates that Sony has out, if their mail department doesn't use a shreader instead of a stamp machine. Great way to pay for the program. Then just hide behind e-mail and the fine print.
