I called SONY (9/20/2010) stating I needed a replacement power cord for my 15" TV (KLV15SR1). I was told what I needed was an "AC POWER SUPPLY CORD SET" (#176572041), at $24.99; total price with shipping: $34.99  When the order (#S01J1T76) arrived, only one part #176572032 (note the change in part numbers) of the "set" was sent. I called to inquire and was told on two occasions, once by Rep. "JOE" (9/29) & once by Rep. "LORI" (9/30/2010) the depts. I needed to contact were closed. On the third call (10/4/2010) when I got through, I complained, stating: if the power supply cord I needed consists of a "set", then why did SONY send only one part of the set?

I understand the definition of a "set" as having more than one part. The part of the cord sent to me is useless without it's other half. It plugs into the wall outlet, not into the TV. I was told by Rep. "JOSE" that, "there is a problem with the literature" and the set only consists of one piece. This cord needs two pieces to connect the pwer to the TV. His Supv. "PATRICK" stated I would have to purchase the rest of the cord at a total price of $141.00 (which is about the same or more than what I paid for the TV). When I complained again and opted to return the item for a refund,  I was told by Rep. "MARK" that I would have pay the return shipping costs.

I feel the error is on the part of SONY by having an inaccurate and misleading description of their replacement parts and the second part of the cord should be sent to me at no additional cost.
