I purchased a new sony camera lens from Sony, model #2024975. the lens was never used. the lens was stored in a top of the line Pelican case, with packs of silica to collect any moisture.
I was cleaning this lens and noticed spots in the front inside glass. i could not remove the spots and sent the lens to Sony Service Contact, 11302 Eastpoint Drive, building B, suite C , Loredo, TX 78045-6623 Phone 866-357-6230. i was contacted by Danny employee #C1a3 and he stated it could not be fixed and said he would sell me a used lens for $ 197.15.
I delcined the offer and requested a New lens or a refund. In his letter he wrote that i had abused or misused or it had excessive wear. The lens had never been on the camera. i called Danny directly and asked him point blank, Danny are you saying to me that i physically abused or misused or there is excessive wear on that lens? Danny said to me no i"am not saying that to you. i told Danny there is no in between, either I did or i did not. The phone went silent.
Finally i have talked to other's that are supposedly in Texas and i ask a couple of them if i could talk to someone higher up in the chain. they all stoned walled me and said they could not name somewhat higher up to talk to.
