BEWARE! We had a very expensive jewelry item stolen from our room by one of the staff members and hotel management did NOTHING about it. They know who went into our room during these few hours by looking at the cameras. They actually went through our bags looking for something. It wasn't just laying around. Its only 2 people and all they did is ask them "did you do it?". I wonder who is going to say yes to that question?! VERY DISAPPOINTING the way it was handled. Huge loss! Obviously NEVER again! If you want to RISK your belongings being STOLEN - definitely choose this hotel!

What exactly do you want the hotel to do? Waterboard the staff members until one of them confesses? . You are free to make a report to the police and let them investigate. But really, you have not much of a case. Most hotels provide a safe for guest use. That's exactly why it's there -- valuables are easily stolen and it is impossible to prove anything one way or another. Apart from your word, there is no evidence that the allegedly stolen item was even in your bag. This is an example of what is called "mysterious disappearance" -- it was either lost or stolen, but there is no real evidence of either. And this can happen at any hotel. Believe it or not, most hotels don't pay the cleaning staff much. It's a job with high turnover.
