I recently had my debit card info compromised and had over $500 taken from my acct. My debit card was deactivated and a new card was ordered, before I could give smartpay a new card # they were sending me email after email daily, saying my pmt failed. After the 3rd day and at least trying 2x per day to debit my acct. I was told my phone service which was with Straight Talk would be deactivated until I paid the pmt of $38.00 which was now a whopping THREE days late. I contacted them before I even got that email explaining my situation and all I got was what appeared to be an automated , generic email telling me info cwhich was completely irrelevant. I replied and explained again the situation and once again received an email stating maybe I wasnt aware of the difference between a "pending" transaction and "completed" transaction. It doesnt take a genius to know this but with a 17yr background in the banking industry I was very familiar. Once again I got emails saying my pmts failed. By this point I'm just angry that I never can get any reply that pertains to my situation. I havent used that phone or Straight Talk in months so it doesnt matter that my service was supposedly cut off since I did that months ago. Three days late and your service is suspended? That's ridiculous in itself as well as trying a pmt several times a day on an inactive card. I'm just angry now and I'm paying the phone off and selling it. I'd never recommend them to anyone and I'd never use them again. My phone was 299.99 and I'm paying 280 extra for the leasing or whatever it's considered. Do NOT use them!
