I went to their website to check on the CISSP degree. You cannot get any info unless you let them call you.

On 6/27/03, friday, at closing time a saleaman called me. He started his sales speach and I said that I wanted to put it off until monday.

He then started the hard sell. Told me price was going up that weekend. Also said the military bought 200, I could get a personal mentor, job placement, etc.

He then sends me to the next salesman. I finally said yes, and sends me to finance manager. Takes my credit card info, social security number, etc.

Deal is $2800 for all of the certs that I want to take over a 2 year period. I did say yes to questions. Sent back to salesman.

Salesman starts to explain how to access training site. I then interrupt and say that for a large purchase of 2800 that I needed to check with my wife first. He says OK. Tells me that when I access the site, I put in my code number, and check the box that says 'I accept the terms'.

I was lead to believe that my credit card would be charged. Found out over weekent that we could not afford it. Tried to fax cancellation on tuesday at work, but fax not working. Called wife to go to bank and cancel credit card and deny charge.

On thursday I receive invoice form SCD. Fax copy and cancellation notice/reason why.

SCD sends 'loan' to Health Capital, who gives it to MNBA in Delaware. I complained to both banks. HC says a lot of complaints with SCD loans. No help here, both banks believe SCD.

First salesman lied to me to get me to say yes. Then lied to me about I could check with my wife, and when I then checked 'I agree', I would be on the hook for the 2800.

SCD tapes all conversations, but not in their entirety. Turning it on and off. When I complained to SCD they listened to tapes and said that I did not say that I wanted to put it off until monday. Then said that I did not say I had to check with wife.

I have not gone to their training website, nor have i checked 'I Accept' to their terms.

SCD sent a copy of a page, the one that I did not go to, to one of the banks that said that they would investigate. Another lie.

This is not 'buyers remorse' as one of the rebutters says. This is 'I have no job, and no money, and I am sorry that I have gotten mixed up with this dishonest company'. I could see their point that if I had downloaded their stuff, and then tried to get my money back, they could say no. If all of the posts that say the training is crappy, well that is another problem.

I was lead to believe that I could go home, check with my wife, and then I could go to the website and accept the terms, and start training. At that time I would owe the 2800.

This company is targeting people who really need a job, or a better job, but don't have too much money. A person who can pay their fee, but not have enough to hire a lawyer.

A headhunter, or executive search company, is not going to find you a job just because you got several certs. You need experience. They make a large fee for finding someone a high priced IT job. They will not risk giving back that fee on someone without several years experience.
