Silversand Photography/American Portraits ripoff mistreated and ripped off screwed others too ripoff West Orange New Jersey
A photographer from Silversand came out to my home and took pictures of my infant daughter. They told me that someone would contact me in approx. 3 weeks to schedule an appt. to view the portraits.
After 4 weeks I contacted them and my call was not returned. This went on for a week before I called the Corporate offices, and was told that they would contact the local office for me.
Those calls were also not returned. I was told after 2 months of trying to get my pictures that they could not find them. It took 4 months. but I was eventually told that they had let their sales person go and he had taken the pictures with him.
They got the pictures from him and I was finally given my pictures. Thinking that it was not the Companies fault I agreed this last Saturday 7/12/03 to give them another try. The photographer was to be at my home at 3:30 p.m..
I had called the office when the photographer did not show and my call was not returned. The photographer was 3 hours late for the appt. and never called to let me know he would be late.
He came into my home asking me to get together a stool, blankets, toys, and books for props. He had no patience with my daughter who was tired as it was almost her bed time. He wanted to take pictures of my boys, I explained to him I only wanted pictures of my daughter as we just got school pictures for my boys.
When I took my daughter out of the room to get a drink he quickly took 3 group pictures of my boys and 1 individual picture of each of my boys. He was very pushy about selling me pictures and I found out after he left, that when I was out of the room he TOLD my oldest son to get him a glass of water.
I called to cancel my order and my free portrait telling them that I do no want them to contact us ever again once again no return call, so I called their Corporate offices and was told that they were going to go ahead and cash my check and I would get my money back in 3-4 weeks. Empty promises from a company not capable of keeping them!!!!!
I had to pay my bank $20 to stop the check just to avoid becoming their victim again. If you can avoid this company DO IT!!!!!
