Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was contacted by Silverleaf early June 2012 informing me that I won the drawing that I entered at Six Flags earlier that year. The individual I spoke with said I won my choice of a recreational vehicle or $49,000. All I had to do was visit a resort where I could make the choice. I scheduled a visit to go there and ended up in a 4+ hour long sales pitch to get a lease with the resort. Prior to this I never knew or understood the concepts of scamming timeshares. From what I was told the deal seemed ok but I declined. I let it slip that I had recently come back from a deployment and I was currently serving in the Reserves. This changed their whole pitch and they brought up a new deal that included an opportunity to buy a "foreclosed" lease that had some of the amount already paid off. It was $2,000 less than what it would have been. They then initiated a public announcement to the whole room where they were conducting their sales with various other individuals and thanked me for my service and how they are honored to do business with me. All the salesmen were clapping their hands and smiling. This put me on the sport and I allowed myself to be swayed by the display and I signed the lease. After the fanfare was gone and a few weeks had passed I've tried to use my time but the location is never available due to various reasons, I would get repeated calls from Silverleaf asking if I had any referrals for them. I would decline to give them any names they would quickly turn hostile and rudely hang up on me. I signed the lease back when I was making some good money but circumstances changed later in the year and I went from making $60,000 to $15,000 a year. Needless to say this useless expense has thrown my finances into a terrible downward spiral. Im doing my best to make the payments each month but my quality of life is severally impaired having to keep up with the monthly payments. I feel totally victimized when I think back when they were clapping their hands and parading my vet status using it as a tool to get other people to sign themselves into this bad situation. There was no grand prize waiting for me eventually the three friends I went to Six Flags with that day all got calls from Silverleaf saying they had won there amazing prizes. I told each one of them what happened to me and steered them clear from it. I sincerely hope that this organization can be black listed from doing business with the military. No one deserves to have their service to their county used as a gimmick for corporate America. Any assistance or direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
