Shoe City Shoe Store Shady Shoe Size Switching
About Three maybe four years ago I took my son to shoe City on Greenmount Avenue in Baltimore City. My son needed a size three shoe at the time. I had taken him to payless earlier which is a discount shoe store.
Payless didn't have the size shoe that I needed so I took him next door to shoe city hoping they would. I asked the shoe salesman to give me a size needed for my son they brought the shoes and I had my son pick the shoe he wanted. My son wanted me to lace the shoe up and I proceeded to do this.
The salesclerk gave me such a hard time practically pushing my hand away to lace my son's shoe up and rushing them to the counter. I paid for the shoes and in the weeks to come I noticed my son was having a problem walking. When we arrived home that day, which was over a month after purchasing them, I checked his shoes and found that they were a whole size larger than asked for. I was so angry that I could have spit but it was over a month when I noticed the dishonesty.
What I did was purchase another pair of shoes from payless and put the others away until my son could fit them. I have not set foot in that establishment since. I am usually on the ball and am angry at myself because I should have picked up on this sooner. I will go back to the store and see how they handle the sale this time but I promise you I will not purchase another pair of shoes there. I will give you the address and other information after I go into the store and let them know why I no longer shop there. Please do not contact them until I get back to you. I will be visiting the store soon. This is a shoe store.
