I got a raincheck for lobsters on September 3rd. The reason I went to Shaw's at that time was the flier I received said it was on sale. I spent over $100 that day on other things, but was told they were sold out of lobster. I have been back 5 times since then and every single time, there is no lobster. This rain check is only good for 60 days and more than 30 have already passed. I feel like they got me there with the "alleged" lobster sale and got me to spend over $100 while I was there, only to tell me when I went to the seafood counter that "they had none left". This is bad business practice and I want it stopped. Don't have a "sale" on something that you have no intention of keeping a full supply of and intend only to give out rainchecks (that are useless without actual lobster in the store).

I actually work the service desk at a Stop and Shop and we have recently changed raincheck expiration from 30 days to no expiration. I know in my Stop and Shop if we do not have the full amount needed from a raincheck we will rewrite one for the amount left on the raincheck. You could speak with the manager and say that its been 30 days with no lobsters and if there is anyway maybe they can call you when they get a shipment in (we do that often) or if they'd be willing to write a raincheck for a later date of expiration. I know we often run out of popular sale items and have to issue rainchecks however the items usually come in and are available the following week. Lobsters are replenished almost daily. Its odd they are out so often.
