Seawest Financial are thieves. I had an auto loan through SeaWest Financial and as part of the agreement, my insurance for the car was built into my monthly payments.

The rep at the car dealership said I had full coverage and GAP insurance. My car was totalled by a semi truck. It was the semi's fault.

The semi's insurance company paid off only the value of the car leaving a $1200.00 balance. I was told that I had GAP insurance which covers the difference between the car's value and what is owed on the car.

i went to purchase a new car and the new financing company, Wells Fargo, needed proof that the loan was going to be paid off in order to loan me the money to buy the new car.

Wells Fargo, the car dealership, and myself were all told that I had GAP insurance and there would be a $0.00 balance on the account after all of the insurance procedures went through.

I had my new car for a month and then SeaWest called me and said that I had the balance of $1200.00 that needed to be paid. I explained that GAP insurance was suppose to pay off the remainging balance.

The representative at SeaWest said that I never had GAP insurance. I explained that I had been told, the dealership had been told, and that Wells Fargo had been told that the entire account would be at a $0.00 balance.

I was advised that this was not true and that my insurance purchased through SeaWest would not cover the $1200.00.

Now, I have a new car and Seawest wants me to make payments to them as well for the $1200.00 balance. I cannot afford, nor will I make payments on a car that was wrecked. Seawest told me that it would affect my credit and that they would see me in court.

Every month, I have been paying the payments on the $1200.00. I must have called Seawest 20 times and it usually happened when I get the bill in the mail. I got so sick of paying the petty $60 each month for no reason. Finally, I wrote a letter to Seawest threatning legal action, I received a letter 2 weeks later that says they are sorry for everything and that my account had been zeroed ("0")out!
