Your problem is with the contracted company who obviously knew the risk of putting something else besides copper tubing on there. The fact that Sears hired this company to do the job doesn't matter and Sears is not held liable for their work. (Sorry, it's true, read your contract!) At least Sears is nice enough to pay the plumber to correctly hook it up for you, you should be thankful for Sears, not trying to bash it. In fact anything that Sears does for you, you should be thanking them and groveling because they don't have to do a darn thing about it. Legally they're covered. See, Sears ain't too bad, and everyone thinks they're a ripoff! Who puts hardwood floor in their kitchen anyways? You know it's gonna get wet, unless you think you're the perfect family who never has leaks or spills anything. A word of advise, if you ever have to call about a leaky fridge again, don't mention that fact unless you want to look like a fool.
