Beware of any property offered online via eBay, Bidz.com or or any other auction site, by this company or individual.

This person advertises land and purposely misleads by including a map with the auction that is completely wrong. The auction is also very cleverly worded to imply that there is county road access when there is not. The land which this jerk is selling is not located any where near where it is advertised, and in fact, does not resemble the photograph on the auction listing.

Stay as far away as possible from anything having to do with this guy.

To see some of his handywork, you can Google "scott wigginton" and "texas land co" if this link http://web-1.bidz.com/productDisplay.php?lotid=7237928&live=Y is no longer active.

I am in the process of disputing the credit card charge for this rip off and I fully intend to file a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission for fraudulent and misleading advertising.

They don't know anyone's names, or any thing. They just want to rip people off, tell unhappy customers go away just so they can flip the property to anyone else and pocket down payments.

I bought land from Scott, off of Ebay. The property was said to #1) have a pond that had been stocked, #2) have a fresh water spring, #3) be clearly marked, #4) have access to electricity at owner's expense. My "pond" is a mudhole, about 12 feet across and 18 inches deep at center. There are no fish and according to locals, hasn't had fish for years and dries up in the summer. The "spring" is a mudhole that forms when it rains and there is no actual spring. The lots are NOT, in no way shape or form, marked. I have been here several weeks and have been unsuccessful in gaining electricity, because the proper paperwork has never been filed with the county and they don't even KNOW where this subdivision is and the contracts were not properly written giving utility easements to the power company, so I am embroiled in a mess of red tape. When you call, you simply talk to an assistant who gets an attitude with you.

I purchased my property with covenants. I have since found that no one enforces them and that each owner of property out here has a different subdivision map, a different set of covenants and the easement boundaries are different on each person's contracts, as well. Each person in this subdivision admits to being lied to by Scott Wiggington and refers to him as a CROOK> STAY AWAY!!! There are even more issues, but I don't have enough space to write it all. BEWARE, he IS a crook....he does NOT address issues as they come up and his covenants are a total sham and a worthless piece of paper.

I would like to quickly address this complaint. We have 1,000's of customers and have been selling land continually since 1999. We are the largest wholesale land seller of our type in the US. We have been a member of the Better Business Bureau for many years and do not have a single complaint against our company. None of this would be possible if we did any of the things reported in this complaint. In addition, we have never had a customer by the name of Risa. I suspect this may be one of our competitors trying to tarnish our good name that we have worked so hard for so many years. We take great pride in servicing our customers and providing them with great value for their dollar. It is unfortunate that someone had to stoop to this level. Regards,
