I bought a 50" Plasma HDTV on 11/08/2010 and on 07/01/2001 I turned it on and there was sound for a few minutes, then the audio went out. I called SANYO and their customer service had me fittle with the remote a few times and then told me someone would get back to me right away. This did not happen. I looked up "problems" with this tv and it is known to have audio problems, like no sound whatsoever. I bought it at Walmart and I also looked up problems with returning this particular tv they don't stand behind their products either even if you have a 2 year warranty, like we purchased. We are out $767.00. I would like to know what can be done about this? How can we get help? We saved the money to buy this tv, paid cash for it and now this.

Okay, I will retract my statement (only the part about the sound). It was my DVD player that the sound went out on (the Sanyo was run through the DVD player). After taking another TV we had in the other room the sound didn't work for it either. So (I know big DUH factor) we took out the DVD player (with one shot:) and ta-da sound! Don't know if this will help anyone else but worth the try:)
I won't go back on my statement about the not to prompt customer service though, that needs improvement.
I know this can't be taken off but with all the problems Sayno has with this tv consumers still need a heads up.
