Chandler,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Fri, May 16, 2003
I am an ex-employee from DriveTime and i am looking through this complaint and see someone tried to do some research on the net to show that Steve Geary is the owner of the compnay. Unfortunatly the information that is showing is incorrect. Steve Geary is close but is in charge of the internet site not the actual owner of the company. If you send an email to him then you will probably not receive a response. The true owner is Ernie Garcia, (If you haven't seen the newspapers here in AZ he is the one who just purchased ThunderBird Golf Course.) The only way for you to get any type of result would be to contact the correct department that handles customer complaints. That would be the Customer Relations department. They are the only people who have been given any authority to get vehicles fixed or make conssessions on contracts for other major problems. I would recommend contacting the customer service department at 1-888-to-drive and file a complaint in customer service. This will then be followed up by the regional mediator for that region. If you are getting nowhere with that person you can request their manager Ruth Leatherman for further assistance. Again I emplore you to contact the company that way, you will get more assistance in a shorter time.

hi, I read ur report and it's a shame you were treated this way. Unfortunatly the duck will take advantage of the consumer because they feel they have a captive audiance, they specialize in second and third chance finance (meaning bad credit customers that a conventional bank won't finance)
They will buy cheap auction cars and trucks and do none or very little reconditioning (keeps cost down and profit up) and yes some of them are wrecked vehicles.
So buyer beware! You did not elaborate on your purchase but you must always act fast. Trying to get something done months after purchase won't be easy. But anyway here's what you need to do DOCUMENT EVERYTHING (when you spoke with the company each time, what was said,etc.. get proof, have vehicle checked out by certified tech, get title history thru a company like carfax.
Texas law requires a dealer to deliver to the public, cars that meet safty laws for our hiways and roads. It also requires that any KNOWN damages to the vehicle in excess of $250.00 be diclosed. noticed I said KNOWN DAMAGES!!!!!!
Be advised they can and will say I DIDN"T KNOW!!!!!
