Sam's Club screwed me & others too, ripoff Bentonville Arkansas
I recently had a credit check done and found that I had a black mark against me courtesy of the Sam's Club Warehouse. Well, I immediately called them to see what could be done about it and what the charge was for.
The guy, Ralph, explained that it was so long ago that he had no record of what the charge was for (I am thinking that it may be a membership renewal but no one will tell me). Anyway he referred me to the collection agency.
I had no luck with them. In fact, they gave me a number to call and contest the issue, and when I called they said the amount was too small to contest. Right! And they also upgraded the amount they wanted from $69 to more money. Huh? Oh well... I told them that they should contact me before I leave the US and they called about three days after I was gone.
Every time I visit I spend thousands of dollars at Sams and Walmart. But guess what? There's a new game in town. It is cleaner, has better service, food, and prices are just as competitive. It's called Costco. They have even beaten Sams going international! You can bet that if the problem isn't solved Sam's and Walmart can forget my money!
