Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When checking out I had received an offer saying I was approved for Discover credit card which printed out with my regular receipt, and stated I had a 3,000 dollar limit with interest rates explained. I was instructed to go to the customer service desk to complete the process.

Upon going to customer service desk the card offer that was offered, for some reason was denied (no where on the printout did it say upon approval it said I was approved) this make me look like a fool and wasted my time.

There was nothing listed on the checkouts extra printout except I had been approved for this card. There was no explanation provided for what happened, and the offer was solicitated as being approved.

I will take all of my business some where else, this is very deceptive marketing and shows that Sams club goes to all lengths to make a complete fool out of there customers.

These offers should not be solicitated to people as they check out saying they are "approved" when in fact they are not! What a rip off, marketing taken to a new level.

This goes beyond my scope of ethics, as a business owner I do not offer customers something that I can not give them or solicate a deal that I will not follow through on.

Very poor business ethics from a big company that really does not care.

I really don't know why this was rejected but like you said I probably will find out in the mail. I only have one debit card so I really probably don't have much of a credit history listing since I have a consumer loan at a bank for my morgage. It really doesn't matter though, when they run my sams club card it must of brought up my number for them to offer this, and then between the time I checked out and went to the customer service desk they changed there mind!! I am going to attach the printout that I received from them, so you can see what there up to. It really frustrates me that they play us the consumers as fools.

What Direction

This shows you what direction sams is going in. Kind of like those form letters the car dealers send out to people to try and get them into the dealerships. They do have to give you a reason for being declined by law. You're suppose to receive an explanation letter in the mail. I believe it entitles you to a free credit report. I suspect you know why. It is unethical.
