Issues with vehicle GAP coverage. Fraudulent company. Filed claim, was told by claims adjuster process would not take longer than 10 business days. 24 days.. Claim # 02553453 Filed: 09/27/2016 Submitted all documentation required. Company stated would not take more than 10 business days once everything was submitted. Safe-Guard worked directly with US Bank for "principal interest". US Bank provided every possible document as well as before starting that process. Took them 4 days. Everything submitted, I called an agent again to verify, she said it was correct and they got the documentation directly with my bank. Now I call since its been an additional week and still nothing, everything states "submitted" online. New agent said its not the correct documentation submitted when it's all direct from US Bank, Fiat Dealership which car was originally purchased from as well as GAP through Safe Guard, Police Report directly from the Police Department.. all documents submitted online numerous times.

Claim keeps changing back and forth from "not complete" to "all forms submitted". Just had an agent raise his voice at me when I asked about my claim. Then was hung up on accidentally while they were transferring me to another claim specialist. I've been told now by 4 different agents that my claim is good, then not good, and "specialists" are looking into it. Progressive Insurance explained to me they have heard numerous fraudulent issues associated with GAP through Safe Guard Products International, LLC. Bill Luke Fiat in Arizona told me they no longer even offer GAP through this company any longer due to many unhappy customers.

Will be looking into an attorney this coming week to handle this issue since I have to continue to make auto payments with no car since Safe-Guard keeps dragging their feet past their "10 business day" policy to prolong GAP coverage payout. Makes sense, the more auto payments you have to make, the less they have to pay out. They're arguing "principal interest" when it does not associate with anything, regardless, GAP coverage covers the difference from what the insurance company paid on out on the vehicle. Their service is terrible. I've no been "accidentally" disconnected twice in a week now. You work with new agents each time you call to check-in. Very unprofessional and feels like a scam.
