RushPeterbiltTruckCenter refused to accept responsibility for a truck engine repair.

I have paid Rush Peterbilt Truck Center - Charlotte  a total of $ 7,536.80 for parts and labor on 2 separate invoices to repair a truck engine that still knocks because it was not repaired properly.

I invested to date is $10,886.68. Truck was initially towed into Rush Peterbilt Truck Center on 11/20/2012 and was picked up on 02/26/2013; 98 days of lost time and still do not have a truck that runs.

After two separate vehicle repairs on this truck, I have no confidence in Rush Peterbilt Truck Center repairing this truck.

I filed a North Carolina Better Business Bureau report on 03/25/2013 and the case was closed 04/29/2013 as unresolved because Rush Peterbilt Truck Center - Charlotte would not accept responsibility of any kind for my improperly repaired truck.

On 04/16/2013 I filed a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Justice - Consumer Protection requesting assistance in recovering the $7,536.80 that was paid to Rush Peterbilt Truck Center - Charlotte for repairs on an engine which not repaired properly.

On 05/07/2013,  Rush Enterprises from New Brunfels, TX responded to North Carolina Department of Justice with a 3 page response indicating that the work performed on my truck was "in fact, performed correctly" and and that the workmanship and charges were proper.

On 05/09/2013 I was informed by North Caroline Department of Justice that they could not resolve the differences between Rush Peterbilt Truck Center and me. They can only take action in the name of the state to prevent harm to "large" numbers of citizens, not individual private citizens.  They further suggested that I consider consulting with a private attorney.

I do not agree with the response from Rush Enterprise that the work performed on my truck was "in fact, performed correctly" and that the workmanship and charges were proper. The truck engine that they repaired on 2 separate occasions; in fact, still knocked after being driven less than 10 miles. After the previously extended repair time on this truck engine I refused to take it back to spend more money on the engine repair at Rush Peterbilt Truck Center.

I took my truck to another truck center for an evaluation on the knocking engine and it was determined that it was too costly to repair the engine for the third time. The engine in this truck had to be replaced.

How can Rush Truck Center with one of the largest networks of truck service location in the country refuse to accept responsibility for a $7,536.80 repair on an engine that still knocks?

Please think carefully before taking your truck to any Rush Truck Center for extensive and expensive repairs.
