I received a "voucher" in the mail stating that I had just received $1600 credit from Ramada Resorts. I then proceed to call and inquire what this is all about. My initial phone conversation was with Shirley, who said that I was eligible for a Four day and three night trip to Ft. Lauderdale and also a cruise, and an Orlando resort trip.

I called this company only for the sole purpose of finding more information about this deal, when I began to be pressured by Shirley to make a decision right then about booking this trip. I told her that there was no way I was going to put down $698 right then and there without speaking it over with my boyfriend and friends. Shirley then persisted and told me if I don't do it now then I will forfeit all vouchers and lose out on the trip. I said sorry but I'm not going to book anything right this second. She transfered me to someone else, and they told me everything I just heard, and I still declined.

Hours pass, and around 8:45PM Eastern time the phone rings, and its Steve Lane, from the Corprorate Headquarters, saying that Shirley gave him my paper work and he wanted to work something out with me. So i decided to hear what he had to say, and he then "knocked off" $200 and I would only pay $498. By then my boyfriend and friend already knew what was going on, and they thought it souded like a "good deal" as well. This man told me everything from people order these trips to go to the Super Bowls, to its a great college graduation gift. I was very shaky about giving out my credit card information but I really didn't think that an established company lik Ramada would do such a thing. So, I gave my information and Steve said I was ready to go. He also stated that because on the bottom of the voucher it said they were Licensed and Bonded in the state of Florida, everything was perfectly fine with the trip.

I booked the trip and later we decide that we really don't have the time to go on this vacation because we are in college, so I call nice-guy Steve back, and they proceed to tell me that the trip is Non-refundable, can be extended, or can be transfered and sold. I cancelled my credit card because I didn't want any other charges added on after my initial $498. If anyone has any suggestions about how to receive a refund, then please let me know. I will be doing work on this myself, so I will update if I receive anything or not. My suggestion now is, Don't ever stay at a Ramada no matter where it is. The company is disgusting and deceptive.

We were ripped off too by Ramada Plaza Resorts

We were ripped off by Ramada Plaza Resorts like so many of you. However, do not get confused. This is not Ramada. This is a completely different entity. After we were ripped off, we called the Ramada Hotel chain and asked if they were connected in any way to Ramada Plaza Resorts. They said they were not affiliated in any way with that company. When my husband called the number on the voucher, he asked, "how do I know this is legit?" The lady on the phone said, "haven't you heard of Ramada?" (she, of course, didn't add Plaza Resorts). They want consumers to believe they are the Ramada Hotel chain that we have all heard of. They are not!!!!! A few hours after my husband called and gave them our credit card information, I called the same number and it wouldn't let the call go through. So, I called on another phone. I asked to speak to a manager. I told him we were dooped into believing that they were a part of the Ramada Hotel chain and that we did not want the cruise. The guy actually laughed at me and said "It's too late, it's already been charged to your credit card. Hope you enjoy your vacation!"
