Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was told 7-9 months ago, I would be getting a stock lead position in 2 weeks because the former stock lead was not performing her job correctly a little over a year into it (I was the back up stock lead). That of course never happened.

The former stock lead and I were told that they were taking out the Stock lead position in only High Volume Ross stores and adding a Area Supervisor position. I have a friend that worked for the Corporate store in California that asked someone there and they looked at her like she was crazy. Why would they take the Stock lead positions out of ONLY the High volume stores?! We have a new stock lead now.

Which brings me to this, the asst. manager had a "talk" to the new Stock lead they hired (when the former one got fired about a month ago.) about me and now anytime I say anything to anyone it's an automatic confrontational comment from the stock lead and then her telling me I have an attitude. I just stare at her and wonder "What am I doing?!"

Obviously it was about me wanting the stock lead position and I not knowing she was hired to take the job. um... I knew. The other asst. told me 2 weeks before.

So we're now at the point about a month ago when the former stock lead was fired. It started with everyone being interviewed by the District manager Emma and another Store manager Brandy (we didn't have a store manager at this point). They asked everyone questions like they were Cagney and Lacey and everyone said their piece. I got asked about language, I responded with " I have a trucker mouth."

I believe the most offensive cuss word but gets your emotion at that moment across is the F bomb (which I was told the actual phrase "F bomb" was a cuss word from the opinion of the DM Emma) I was told that I was not able to cuss because "Ross owns you and when you clock in you are their property and you do what they tell you." I then was asked if I heard the Stock lead complain about Ross and I said well just Generalized B*tching, yes I could have said "complaining" but I was nervous and that's, that.

So I look at them and they look like I just killed a kitten in front of them. I apologized and was told you don't want to be written up do you? I replied no, because I have never been written up and would like to keep it that way. A week later, I got written up and it was emailed that morning to my NEW Boss for him to give me on his first day. Now during our "interrogation" 3 other employees admitted (like I did) to cussing but not being offended by it if they hear it and neither of them got written up by the DM and btw my write up was a Final. The write up also said I cussed twice, was she thinking of when I asked instead of the actual f word can I say "eff bomb" because I've heard my management use it?

They want to say the reason I didn't get the position was because of my mouth and how offensive and obscene my profanity was but I wasn't the DM and Store manager laughing at me when I explained I felt uncomfortable talking about our stock lead considering I lived with her and I moved in because the year before I was homeless. Now that I'M Offended about, where's someone to hand her, her write up? I did what I had to do to house my child and provide a safe environment to live.

Can anyone help me on this? I don't want money. I want those 2 to be demoted to associates, because much like they judged my "professionalism" Their's is MUCH worse!.

Since you obviously don't mind who sees this since it was posted on a public web site, I went ahead and forwarded this "RipOff" to Ross Corporate offices.

It should be pretty easy for them to figure out who you are talking about and you may get your wish that someone may get demoted.  Of course you may change your mind when you find out that you are the one who is demoted.

Here is some advise for you.  When you are interviewed and asked about language, don't tell them you have a "truckers mouth".
