Here it is four months later and still no statement. To give everybody an update on where we stand on this case. I started pursuing this through the BBB as nobody at RTG or CitiFinancial are being helpful. Well, after numerous replies from RTG via the BBB I still have gotten no where other than I know they have screwed-up. After about 6 times of trying to convince Sheryl Adler of RTG of who I am she finally sends me a copy of what is suppose to be my Finance Application. It is hilarious. The only thing on here that is correct is the first name, last name, and state. I have faxed them copies of everything they have asked for and apparently all they see is my first name and last name. My SSN does not match, date of birth, address, etc.... I have faxed them copies of electrical bills etc... to identify myself and they still say that I am not on the account. Well the problem I see here is I feel sorry for the guy that is on the other end. He is probably getting my statements and is complaining that he does not have any furniture and RTG is calling him a liar. This whole situation is just hilarious. I am sitting here and looking at the copy of the finance application that they sent to me. 2/3's of the way down it has a signature, date, and drivers license number on it. I faxed them a copy of my drivers license, which is not the one on the finance application they sent to me proving who I am. Here's one even better, I purchased my furniture in 07/03. This application was signed on 10-05-03. (3 months later) How in the heck can they not see the discrepancies here? The way I see it is I apologize to the gentleman in Waxahachie, TX that is getting billed for my furniture. I have done everything in my power to try and convenience them who I am and they don't believe me. If this were the other way around and I told them I was being billed for something that I did not own I could see the concerns, but here I am trying to pay for my debt and they want except it because they screwed up.

So...it's your account. Good...how long did you say that you had the account? I don't know the specifics of the Texas region, but here in NC if you have a Citi account, you account number begins with 6032. We also use GE Capital, but only in this region. If it were a GE account, it would begin with 6019. Years ago we used Household Finance, but we severed all ties to them. It could be that if you've had your account for a while that you have a Household account. But...you said you had your Citi statement, didn't you? If I were you, I'd make sure that the account numbers on your older purchases match the account numbers on your newer purchase (check your receipts)to make sure that the purchases were applied to the same accounts. You may be right and the new purchase may have accidentally been applied to an incorrect account. This is not probable, but it is possible by something as simple as transposing a number when entering the account number. I truly do hope that everything works out for you

Yes I am saying that I am the one who personally applied. I walked in the store with my rooms to go credit card and placed the order. I PERSONNALLY received this card years before my wife and I got married. NOBODY else is on the account. When I can CitiFinancial and gave them the account number and my last 4 that is not what they have on file. They had my last name correct and my cell phone number. I even faxed a copy of my receipt to CitiFinancial and they said this furniture was not delivered to the address that is on the receipt. I don't understand how that could be. If you read the special instructions on the receipt it tells you how to get there street by street. Apparently, everything else is incorrect or maybe I just don't know who the hell I am. That is interesting If I look at my receipt it clearly says Deposit information $xxx charged to my credit card and $xxx charged to CITI. I checked my Credit Card Statement and it was charged then. Why would it be on there for CitiFinancial if that is not correct? At best the way I see it is I have a lot of furniture in my house that I don't have to pay for because apparently I am not on the account. So poor person is going to get screwed because it appears Rooms To Go put it somebody else's account. And yes I signed the order in the store. During the time of sign we were asked if we wanted to add my wife to increase my available credit. I said NO may available is $7000 and my purchases were only $3500 so I did not need the additional line of credit. So as it stands today I am the only person on my account. Maybe your store there in NC does not have issues but this one here does. It is funny how they work. I took your advice and went to the local store to get a copy of my account. First of all it was like pulling teeth. They were hesitant and did not want to do it. I originally requested a copy of my credit where I returned the two bedroom suites. The guy printed one and gave it to me. I told him there should be another one. He looked and looked and said that there wasn't one. I told him there had to be. He said let me see that one, I gave it to me he compared it to the screen and said oh here it is. He printed it handed both of them to me. I looked and they were IDENTICAL. After arguing some lady walks up and says here just print all activity on the account and give it to him. After everything printed we looked and page two was for one return and page 5 was for the other. I don't understand why he could find it the first time. Second, after the complete list of activity was printed and we were looking over it the last page had a Floor Sample As-Is charge for $109.00 after reviewing the special instructions on it. It appears that the $100 refund that they gave me for the inconvenience was voided out. Not a problem, but what is the other $9? Would this be tax? Would it be a processing fee? So am I in the 1% of all of Rooms To Go's screw-ups or is something strange going on here?

If you have your account number, the last four digits of your social AND you are the account holder, then you can get the information from the finance company. Are you saying that you, personally are the one who applied for the financing? Or is it in your wife's (partner's/relative's)name? If you were not on the original application, then you are not on the account and CitiFinancial will NOT share any information with you. Just so you know, Rooms To Go does not get paid from the finance company until the furniture is delivered to you. If NONE of the furniture has been delivered to you, then none of the billing information has been sent to Citi and your balance is ZERO. If some of the furniture has been delivered, then only that part has been sent in for payment. Once the information has been send to the finance company, Rooms To Go has no way to access your account balance as far as balance due is concerned. Citi allows the company to look up how much is available to make purchases with so if you can get that number and subtract it from the amount for which you were initially approved then you can get the amount owing to the finance company. If you had some of the furniture delivered on 8/14, then you should be recieving your first statement from Citi any day now. You can then find out who's name(s) is actually on the account. If you're not on it, then nobody will share any information with you. If you've called Citi, gave them the account number and were told that the last four of your social didn't match, then it seems to me that you aren't on the account. Since everything is keyed off of your social, you wouldn't have been approved if your social was mis-keyed and incorrectly sent to the finance company. Furthermore, if the account wasn't valid and an approval number hadn't been assigned, then what furniture you did get wouldn't have been allowed to be delivered. Who signed the order at the store? Was it you or somebody else?

For you information. I have the receipt with the account number. I have called CitiFincial provided the account number to them. They asked for the last for of my social. After providing that to them they said that is not what they have on file, nor is my name on the account. As for the statement why in the world would it come 30-45 days AFTER it is delivered. It was paided for by the finance company when I bought the junk. The finance company should not have to what 5-6 months to start billing me because Rooms to Go has a screwed up delivery process. Oh wait a minute, I guess this is once again the 1% and I have fallen into the catagory again. I understand your concern for my security, but just like every other company in the world there are passcode, pins, password, etc.. that can be provide to identify you to the company so you can do business on the phone. So you don't have to try to play that card.

William, If you read your receipt, right above your signature are the terms of the finance plan that you opted for as well as your Citi account number and your approval code. No company in their right mind would give out confidential information such as account numbers and finance information over the phone or via e-mail. In this era of identity theft, Rooms To Go has no intention of subjecting itself to any privacy litigation. If you no longer have your copy of the receipt, then you can return to the store and they can reprint your invoice for you. Or...you can supply them with proper identification, in person, and then they will be able to supply you with the information that you desire. BTW...your first statement will arrive approximately 30-45 days AFTER your delivery. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with the delivery of your product. Unfortunately things can go wrong from time to time. Company-wide, Rooms To Go delivers over 2000 rooms-full of furniture every day and in 99% of deliveries, things go smoothly and as planned.
