On October 30, 2000, I paid Robert Sammons, via Paypal, $120.00 for a Guinness beer hockey jersey. Mr Sammons emailed me on November 3rd, indicating that his supplier was out of stock, and that delivery would be delayed '4-6 weeks'.

My emails of January 10th, 21st, 25th and 29th, in addition to several attempts to reach Mr Sammons via phone, and postings to his www message board, have been fruitless. I have initiated action against Mr Sammons thru Paypal and the BBB, as well as assiting Diego (Guinness' parent company) in legal proceedings. Perhaps they can encourage Mr Sammons to live up to his end of the deal.

Dear Sirs: I am Robert Sammons. This person who "filed" this bad business claim against me was advised BEFORE he purchase the merchandise from me that it was not in stock. He had the complete option to make an pre-payment for the merchandise. Upon receipt of the order ($120 for a Guinness jersey) an order would be placed with the manufacturer. I did notify this customer, as well as every other one who had pre-ordered the jerseys that there was a 4-8 week delay. At the time, I had 11 jerseys on back order. On a weekly basis, I notified my customers that the jerseys were STILL on back order with the manufacturer. I offered an immediate and full refund for ANY ONE who did not want to wait any longer. Only one person out of the 11 took up my refund order. The others patiently awaited and were happy they did, except this person in question. Seems he lacked the patience or understanding of what a "full and immediate refund" is when it was offered to him. I got word from some of the top brass as Guinness parent company, Diageo, that "someone" was complaining about not giving them a refund. They did not give me specifics and I never received a direct email from this customer, except when he placed a claim against me through PayPal.com for fraud. (?!?!) He posted nasty messages on a messageboard that I launched, but NEVER used. He never responded to the direct refund offers that I sent him. So, in the face of this person's ignorance and arrogance I get myself, my address and my company's name, The Perfect Pint Shoppe listed on your hall-of-shame? I fully believe that this person, and not I, should be listed on your site for BAD BUSINESS practises. Sincerely, Robert Sammons The Perfect Pint Shoppe
