Rick Johnson Tire & Auto Rip Off of Guarntee N Ft Myers Florida
On April 4, 2017 repairs were made to my 2008 Ford Explorer to correct a "check engine" light. Cost of repairs was $536.26. On April 8, 2017 I returned to my home in NC. On or about April 21, 2017 the "check engine" light returned to my Ford. Took it to my local mechanic who preformed various tests and determined that the spark plug wires which had been installed by Rick Johnson were defective. Calls to Mgr of Rick Johnson were of no help and his response amounted to "you handle with Auto Zone" (parts were purchased from Auto Zone by Rick Johnson). My mechanic was finally able to get parts replaced by Auto Zone in NC no thanks to Rick Johnson. My vehicle was returned to me on May 8, 2016 at a cost of $224.18. I wrote to Hdqs of Rick Johnson given complete details along with my local mechanics invoice and asked to be reimbursed for my out of pocket cost of $224.18 which was paid because of failure of their work. I was finally sent a check by Johson in the amount of $65.99 which they had received from Auto Zone. I returned to them as the $65.99 does not reimburse my added expenses and in effect reporesents no cost to Rick Johnson. I complained to the BBB but to no avail. This companies motto is "Fair & Honest, Tell a Friend". Fair and Honest they are not but I will most cetrtainly tell friends never do business with them!
