I purchased an a/c unit from an approved vendor in 2011 and had the unit installed by a licensed and certified contractor ,

At the time of installation the contractor assured me that he would register the unit and claimed that he did at the time - I followed up with him after a few days -

forward approx 5 years I had an issue with the unit and called said contractor was out of business -

Called a new certified contractor who came out assesed the damage to be the air handler coil -He told me it would not be a big deal as it was under warranty ,when he called the supply house theu had told him the unit had been mistakingly registered to another name and address and that it was a clarical error and I as the home owner had to call in and have it resolved 

 

I called in and they were very helpful , I spoke with Gina Moore who is supposed to be the warranty dept supervisor - After a series of questions and answers she told me everything was ok and taken care of -Great (wrong)

 

fast forward today 5-4-17 I had called the same technician because there was another problem with the unit something had failed in the middle of the night ,The technician was at my house at 630am and after some checking found the compressor to be bad ,He called in to place the order and they notified him that my serial number had been "blocked" and that i would have to contact rheem to straighten it out

 

I had called in and spoke with a gentleman who had tried to help me and could not find any information at all with any of the serial/model numbers I had provided at all with any information He put me through to his supervisor "gina moore" who had explained to me that I had failed to register the unit in my name within 90 days of original installation  and that there was nothing she could do ,I was very confused at this point and had begun to feel cheated -Through our conversation she had explained to me that she is the only one in the office that can alter a record -so i asked her what went wrong and i sudgested we move forward to correct it - her responce was "no "she maintained that at the time that i called to correct the issue she could not find another unit registered in my name and that the unit must have been moved to another address and that was enough to void the warranty and admittedly deleted my registration for warranty ,she refused to help me so i asked for her supervisor -I was placed on hold for around 5 minuted and then she came on the line explaining to me that her supervisor simply declined to speak with me  , so here I am looking for help in the hopes that replacments fro linda collins and gina moore get found for your company asap
