I baught a computer from Rentway on 11/8/00.In Jan.02 I took the compt. back to them with sound & shutdown problems.They ran a restore disc on it and gave it back. On 4/11/01 I took the compt. back with the same problem,they ran a restore disc again and gave it back.They told me this would fix it.

On 8/15/01 I called they're tech support with the same shutdown problem,support sent me to windows update website and had me run a shutdown update. On 8/16/01 I took the compt, back to Rentway for the 3rd time, same problem. They once again ran a restore disc while I waited for it this time to make that is what was done and took the compt.

home after a few hrs. The problem continued even after several updates from windows. On 9/12/02 the compt. crashed. This time I called tech support again and was told this was caused by a virus, my scanner is also burnt up.On 9/13/02 I took the compt.

back to rentway for the 4th time and explained what happened to the compt and scanner.They once again wanted to run a restore disc,I told them no,I want the compt. replaced or the harddrive replaced.and my scanner replaced.Joe Morris Reg.man.wanted me to take an old rundown replacement.

I said no and just took it home to find out the modom on it is messed up.I can't work without a compt. or scanner.now I am without both.I am very angry and dissatisfied with the bad service I have gotten.

This issue is not accurately reported. If you read about her problems, you will find that most were not caused by computer failure. The unit that was claimed to be a replacement was merely a loaner so service could run a proper diagnostics on it. The computer checked out fine and was restored to original condition. This customer received a brand new 1.8 gig system with a state of the art flat screen monitor. The unit also featured a cd rewrite & a DVD player which were not even available when she originally started with us. We went way above and beyond and took a huge loss to satisfy this lady. It makes me sad that someone can hurt my reputation and then not retract their statement after they slander my name on your website. If you were to contact this person, you will find my rebuttal to be true if she is an honest individual.
