Redknot Homes Mark Pottebaum Owner Mark Pottebaum is a scammer Ohio
The owner Mark Pottebaum promised he would get us within our budget. Walked through a home he built and told me the house was $160 sq/ft. Little did he tell me he was using that number off an average of the first floor and finished basement (which can be done for a fraction of the cost of the main floor). Not a realistic number. I put down a $1000 retainer for the home design. The first floor plan was almost double our budget. What kind of experienced builder allows a home to be designed that is double the budget?? I was dumb enough to give him a SECOND $1000 retainer for a redo of the plan being assured via email the second plan would be on budget or a refund would be given. Second home still not on budget and was told I wouldn’t get my money refunded after all because I "changed the plan from the specs”. Stay away from this place unless you like getting scammed!!

After meeting with the build designer he worked with me to get us a plan that was on budget and we were able to salvage the money we had spent on the design to get a home plan that worked.
