I purchased a pair of expensive boots from Red Wing Shoes for the explicit reason that the store had a lifetime warranty. When they explained that to me I said I work in boots, so if I come in 5 years from now you will replace the soles for free. They said of course, the reason we charge such a high rate is due to our warranty. That was precisely what I wanted to hear. I bought the boots. Three years later I brought the boots in to replace the soles and they tell me they have never had a life time warranty. They told me their warranties are only good for one year. I was fraudulently lied to. This is a bait and switch practice of sorts.
